Hotels in Chicago, United States of America

Travel information about Chicago, United States of America

Chicago is a large city filled with lots of things to do. Many visitors come to see the architectural wonders, shop, or attend business conferences. Others just come to experience the city's nightlife or tour the museums. You need to choose a hotel that suits your needs. If your primary concern is price, then you may want to look for a hotel near the airport or in the suburbs. These hotels usually offer lower prices, but they may not be near all the attractions you want to see. If your priority is to be near the action, then you should stay downtown where most of the city's major attractions are located.

If you are planning some sightseeing, I would suggest you to visit the Millennium Park, which is free of charge. Afterwards take the Chicago Riverwalk (which also runs through the park). If you have the time, you should really spend some time walking around the neighbourhood of Wrigleyville to visit a Cubs game (there is the legendary "Milk bar" where famous players like Hank Aaron used to hang out).

And if you are very curious about the architecture of the city, you can visit the famous Navy Pier (which is also a nice location to eat, since it has an Asian, an Italian and a Mexican restaurant among other things), or the Water Tower neighbourhood. You can also visit the Willis Tower which has a top floor observatory.

Finally you can visit the Art Institute of Chicago which is located at Michigan Ave. You can also go to the John Hancock Center if you like high rising buildings. If you go there, you should take in mind that the Hancock Center is the 3rd tallest skyscraper in the world.

There are many other activities to do in Chicago that are not mentioned above, so take in mind that you should be very flexible on the agenda to explore this great city.
